RBC Announces Visiting Professor: Dr. Guy Waters

Posted On August 17, 2016

At Reformation Bible College, our faculty members are confessional scholars who are committed to excellence in teaching and discipling our students. As we begin a new academic year, we are delighted to welcome Dr. Guy Prentiss Waters as a visiting adjunct professor. He will be joining us throughout the fall semester to teach a course on the Gospels and Acts.

Dr. Waters is a widely respected scholar and churchman. He is James M. Baird, Jr. Professor of New Testament at Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson, MS and a teaching elder in the Presbyterian Church in America. He is the author of several books including Justification and the New Perspectives on Paul, How Jesus Runs the Church, and the newly released Acts: EP Study Commentary. He also taught a Doctor of Ministry course on the doctrine of justification for the Ligonier Academy of Biblical and Theological Studies and the Ligonier teaching series The Life and Theology of Paul. We are grateful for his ministry and look forward to having him on campus this fall.

God has blessed Reformation Bible College with outstanding fulltime and adjunct faculty members who represent the very best of scholarship in the Reformed tradition. Following the example of Dr. R.C. Sproul, our faculty are committed to helping students connect biblical faith and practice. They understand that an education rooted in Scripture is best achieved when viewed as a form of discipleship.

The strength of a college is measured in part by the strength of its faculty. This is especially true of a college where fidelity to Scripture is paramount. At Reformation Bible College, we want faculty members who will uphold our confessional standards, serve as godly examples, teach within the Reformed tradition, produce scholarship that serves the church, and support our mission to flood the world with educated and articulate Christians. Please pray for our faculty as they seek to teach our students and help them grow in their knowledge of the Word of God.
