RBC Spotlight: Kristine O’Neil, Director of Operations

Posted On June 25, 2025

Kristine O’Neil serves as RBC’s director of operations. Prior to joining the RBC staff, she spent several years in various roles with Ligonier Ministries.

We recently sat down with Kristine to ask her about her life, faith, and work at RBC.

Can you share a little about your background and your time at Ligonier before joining RBC?

It’s been quite a journey. I began my career with Ligonier nearly twelve years ago with the Care Team. Since that time, I’ve had the opportunity to serve in many roles with the ministry—including the Church Outreach Team, RBC Admissions, and I served as the director of the Events and Hospitality. What’s ultimately compelled me to stay with the organization over the years though is Ligonier’s commitment to the truth of God’s Word.

What led you to transition to RBC, and what excites you most about your new role?

After four years with Ligonier’s Events Team, I was honored to step into the role of director of operations at Reformation Bible College. This opportunity was especially meaningful, as I had been twice entrusted with short-term roles at RBC in the past, which only deepened my desire to serve here full time.

I thrive on rolling up my sleeves and fully immersing myself in the mission of an organization. RBC’s vision to educate students in the historic Christian faith so that they know, serve, and worship God in all of life resonates deeply with me. The opportunity to contribute to the school’s growth and impact is both a privilege and a challenge I’m eager to embrace. What excites me most is not only the chance to help RBC students thrive during their time here, but also the joy of serving alongside an exceptional team of dedicated, talented staff and faculty.

What does a typical day look like in your current role?

My role as RBC’s director of operations can be broken down into what I refer to as “buckets” of responsibility. I oversee the daily operations of the RBC café and bookstore, which includes inventory, vendor relationships, and ensuring a welcoming experience for students and visitors. I’m also responsible for managing all budgets within the college and making sure that they align with our institutional goals.

Other areas of responsibility that impact what day-to-day are facilities and maintenance management, library operations, and supervision of the residence hall. I also oversee all events planning and coordination for the college. These responsibilities require a balance of strategic planning, operational execution, and direct engagement with students, faculty, and staff to ensure RBC functions smoothly and effectively.

What has been the most rewarding part of your time here so far?

The most rewarding aspect of my role has undoubtedly been getting to know the students. Their passion for learning, their dedication, and the commitment they demonstrate to living out God’s calling humbles me on a daily basis. It’s truly inspiring to see them grow, and it’s a privilege to be part of their journey. It keeps me motivated and grateful for the work I get to do.

Outside of work, what are some hobbies or interests you enjoy?

Outside of work, I enjoy staying active through weightlifting, which helps me maintain both physical and mental balance. I also love taking on “weekend warrior” projects—whether it’s tackling a home improvement task or diving into a creative DIY project. There’s something incredibly satisfying about turning a vision into reality. Additionally, I’m an avid thrifter, finding joy in discovering hidden treasures, whether it’s vintage clothing, unique home decor, or something that sparks nostalgia. It all allows me to recharge and bring a sense of balance and creativity to my life.

Has a particular Bible verse or passage been especially meaningful to you in this season of life?

I certainly find myself clinging to different verses at various seasons of my life. One verse that has been particularly meaningful throughout my active journey is Psalm 143:8 which says, “Let me hear in the morning of your steadfast love, for in you I trust. Make me know the way I should go, for to you I lift up my soul.” This verse has served as a grounding reminder of God’s unwavering love and guidance, especially during times of uncertainty or transition.
