Reformation Bible College Essay Contest 2018

Theme: Truth, Goodness, and Beauty

Our college's first president, Dr. R.C. Sproul, often referred to God as the source of all that is good, true, and beautiful.

Discuss the relationship between theology and ethics and how it informs our definitions of truth, goodness, and beauty.


Essay submissions should be roughly 2,500 - 4,000 words, not including citations, and must answer the essay prompt. Quality essays will be original, well-written, and observe standard grammatical rules and Turabian formatting. They will show evidence of extensive theological, philosophical, and cultural exploration of the topic.

Only one submission may be entered per student. Submissions may be sent by email ( or by postal mail (465 Ligonier Court, Sanford, Florida 32771). Entries must be received by April 1, 2018.

The award-winning essays will be announced on May 1, 2018.

To be considered for the scholarship:

  • Complete an application for admissions to Reformation Bible College.
  • Be accepted as a full-time, incoming student for the the 2018 - 2019 academic year in an associate's or bachelor’s degree program.
  • Submit one essay following the specifications from above.
  • Notes: We are not able to accept international students at this time. Scholarships are non-transferrable.

Reformation Bible College reserves the right to publish the winning essays, in whole or in part. These essays may not be published elsewhere without the written permission of Reformation Bible College.

Reformation Bible College is not responsible for lost, late, misdirected, damaged, illegible, or incomplete submissions.
